Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to a Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), teacher and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English origin. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish roots and stated that she is a part of Passover seders.
